"A man can do as he wills" - a person can choose what he wants to do (his goals)
"But he can not will as he wills" - however he has no control over his goals, which are determined by innate, inborn desires.
It is a philosophical reflection on free will, destiny, God's plan. Or rather, the lack thereof. This is because we are already encoded in our subconscious or psyche.

ReplyDeleteHormonal imbalance? Low blood sugar/insulin triggers cravings for food high in carbohydrates? Maybe a bowl of oatmeal will sort that out?
